C’est l’occasion pour les compagnies membres indépendantes de QDF de voir jusqu’à 30 acteurs non membres de la CAEA au Segal Centre for Performing Arts. 

Indie companies who participate will also have the opportunity to receive the General Digital Booklet after Open Call Day, alongside PACT directors. The General Digital Booklet contains all the submissions we received for the 26/27 Quebec English Theatre Showcase: 

  • Acteurs de la CAEA 

  • Acteurs de Discovery Series non membres de la CAEA  

  • Journée portes ouvertes pour les acteurs non membres de la CAEA 

  • Toutes les autres soumissions d'acteurs non membres de la CAEA

  • Designers

    • 1 - Fill Out the Application Form (Opening on November 5, 2026): Complete the form below and click "Submit."

    • 2 - Application Review: QDF will review your submission and curate our Open Call Day panel.

    • 3 - Panel Invitation: Selected companies may have up to two representatives on the panel. You will also receive the digital book which includes headshots, CVs, and links to the membership directory for all participants.

    • 4 - Open Call Day Format: On the day of the event, up to 30 non-CAEA actors (not selected for the Discovery Series) will each perform:

      • A 2 minute max monologue

      • A 2 minute max contrasting artistic piece (e.g., monologue, song, movement, clown, etc.).

      • Un accompagnateur sera disponible pour les prestations musicales.

    • 5 - Follow-Up: After the event, you’ll receive the General Digital Booklet with all participant information. From there, you can reach out to actors for auditions or castings, or contact designers for further interviews or potential hires. 

    • 1 - Compensation Information: Provide details on how you compensate:

      • artistes

      • Technical/Production/Design Crew

      • Core Roles/Creative Team

    • 2 - Policies & Agreements: Upload a .docx, .pdf, .jpeg, or .png file of your anti-harassment policy, room agreement, or values statement (if you have one).

  • Important: Some of this information will be shared with participants in a summarized format. For example:

    • Anti-Harassment Policy/Room Agreement/Values Statement: Yes, room agreement
